Highfields School, Balderton, Newark has been judged as ‘excellent’ by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), after their June 2019 inspection.
‘Excellent’ is the highest descriptor the ISI can use, and is equivalent to the ratings used by Ofsted. The rating highlights the quality of pupils’ academic achievements, as well as their personal development.
The inspection found that the pupils at Highfields make excellent progress from Early Years through to Year 6, with an exceptional attitude to learning. Pupils demonstrate great subject knowledge across the curriculum and display excellent behaviour and moral understanding.
The report also shows that pupils have strong self-awareness and self-esteem, high self-discipline and a strong sense of responsibility for personal learning.
Headmaster Richard Thomson says: “This report is a clear recognition of all the hard work put in to making Highfields such a special place to learn.
