Help your business grow with free financial support

A series of one hour sessions are being held for local businesses who wish to receive financial advice aimed at helping them grow their business. Organised in partnership with Newark and Sherwood District Council and First Enterprise, the sessions will be held on a one-to-one basis with a First Enterprise Business Advisor. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive valuable and up-to-date advice and ask questions specific and relevant to their business to help them expand and flourish.

Taking place on Wednesday, 15 June 2022, at the Newark Beacon, there are seven sessions throughout the day and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

For more information and to book your sessions, please contact Sue Nattrass by emailing susan.nattrass@newark-sherwoodddc.gov.uk or calling 01636 655 277 or 07834 174 356.

Councillor Keith Girling, Deputy Leader of Newark and Sherwood District Council, said: “Newark and Sherwood District Council remains committed to providing local businesses with the best support available. Therefore, I’m excited we can offer those looking to expand an opportunity to receive meaningful financial advice that I hope will steer them in the right direction to help their business prosper.

“I encourage any business who feels they could benefit from one of these sessions to contact us to book their place as soon as possible, as places are limited.”

The business clinic sessions are part of a wider package of support Newark and Sherwood District Council provides to local businesses throughout the district. Support has included guidance from professional industry experts through the Business Resilience Programme and Business Support Programme and the opportunity to learn techniques on how to implement innovation through a first of its kind Global Innovation and Nimble Thinking event.
